Do I need a paint specification?

Yes, you’ll need a paint specification by the painting manufacturer. All you need to do is contact us at (770) 271-6868 and we’ll provide one for you!

How can I be sure that you are the right contractor for my project?

There’s no question about it, P3’s track record is impressive. For years, we have worked to secure relationships with the top crews; worked with manufacturer representatives to learn about the best products; and have also strived to find new ways to keep our customers happy. Our staff has a combined 150+ years of experience in the construction industry (the majority of it within the multi-family industry). All this experience means better results with fewer snags along the way.

But experience isn’t enough – we continue to send our Project Managers to classes and invite manufacturer reps to our office to continue to educate our Project Managers about the latest products and best practices.

P3 is known within the industry for consistently completing jobs on time and within budget. Call us to bid on your next project – you won’t be disappointed.

What do I need to know about gathering bids from contractors?

The most important thing to consider when gather bids is if you are comparing apples to apples. Some contractors may have a lower price – but are they using the correct preparation for the job? Are they skimping on products or techniques?

P3 can provide you with a scope of work which will outline each specific detail of your project. You’ll then be able to give the scope of work to all bidding contractors so you’ll know that you’re getting a great deal on the best products and techniques. Remember, the lowest price isn’t always the best deal.

What is a paint specification?

A paint specification is an extremely detailed plan for your specific project. There are thousands of paints, each with a different purpose, price, application method and lifetime. A paint specification will outline what kind of pre-treatment is required, how the paint should be applied, what weather conditions are optimum, and even how long it should last, and more. Paints with a longer lifetime are always more expensive – but if you typically paint every few years – do you really need to pay the extra price? These are the kinds of decisions we’ll help you make. Asking for a paint specification will give you a better chance of getting it right – for the right price.

What is your experience level?

Our staff of is chock full of experts. No matter what the job: carpentry, framing, decking, flooring, concrete, siding, insulation, roofing, paint, gutters, you name it! We have a Project Manager on staff who has worked in each specific area. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg because every one of our Project Managers have owned their own business at one time- so they understand customer service and good business. No matter what the job, our team has someone who specializes in that area, making us a comprehensive staff who can handle any project.

And did we mention that you’ll always deal directly with a professional P3 Project Manager and never a sub-contractor who doesn’t speak English? Like we said – communication is important to us.

Why do your Project Managers have mobile offices?

All of our Project Managers have mobile offices in their cars. How many contractors do you know who can say that?

It’s true! We believe that being able to handle desk-type paperwork in their cars, saves our Project Managers hours every day – and all those hours saved are now spent on your job site instead of at our office.

Why is communication so important?

All of our Project Managers have state-of-the-art phones and communication equipment. You’ll never have to wait for us to check our voicemail – we’ll know you need us the moment you hit send. And, when you have a project going on, you’ll get updates from your dedicated Project Manager twice each week (every Tuesday and Friday). We think it’s important for you to be in the loop.

What are wood alternatives?

There are many choices such as PVC, Vinyl, Composite, Hardie siding, and more. Contact us, and we can provide you with samples and suggestions for your structures. Because we have relationships with manufacturers, we can often help provide you with a warranty for many of these choices too.

What kind of wood lasts the longest on the exterior?

This may depend on the areas installed, but typically “pressure treated wood” is the longest-lasting exterior wood. When we provide a bid or scope of work, we consider everything: how much sun will it be exposed to? How much moisture? How much wear? Aesthetically – what will coordinate best with other nearby structures? Invite a P3 Project Manager to see your project, and we’ll give you the details to get the job done right.

There are many types of gutters – so which one is the best?

Gutters come in all shapes and sizes: aluminum, galvanized, and copper metals are most common. Aluminum is the least likely to rust and the most typical gutter.

What is a seamless gutter?

A seamless gutter is exactly what the name implies – It is a gutter that does not have seams, so it’s much longer. This does not mean that it does not have any seams, of course, there are seams at the corners and end caps. But they do look more attractive.
